The community of members and friends of the Rotary Club of Greater New Brunswick gathered at the Elks Lodge on June 29, 2023 to recognize the accomplishments over the past twelve months and look forward with anticipation to new leadership in the coming year. All present expressed their gratitude to outgoing President Stephen Ferrara and welcomed the enthusiastic remarks of Geoffrey Dietzel who will lead the club in 2023/2024. The occasion marked the annual installation and oath ceremony of officers and board of directors, conducted that evening by Andrew Calamaras, Rotary Foundation Committee Chair.

There were other highlights of the annual dinner meeting celebration. There was a moment honoring the passing of Frank Gschossmann when his wife Barbara received remarks of his club service by members and a certificate of appreciation. Sharan Jain recognized the leadership of Yuvaraaj Murthy, the outgoing president of the Rutgers Rotaract Club, and the incoming president Zaniyah Boykins. Both students were awarded Rotary Scholarships while they attended Middlesex College before enrolling at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Finally, there was formal action when club members ratified a proposal for the adoption of new by-laws approved earlier in June by the board of directors.
